Registration is completed online. It is first come first serve, teams max out at 12-14 girls. Team placement is not guaranteed. Girls who do not receive a team are put on a waiting list. Please submit everything as soon as possible to secure your spot.
*Registration is not complete until payment is received. Late fees will be applied to late registrations.
Team placement will be by grade & skill level. You will get an email with your child's team by the beginning of September.

NON-REFUNDABLE fee is $300 per player if received by June 10th. $350 after June 10th – no exceptions!
**If a team does not have a parent volunteer coach, an additional $50 per player fee will be issued to cover the cost of paying a coach for the season. This youth league is a PAL youth program.
**Parent volunteer coaches will get a refund of $150 once the season starts for coaching.
All athletes are required to hold current USA Field Hockey membership for insurance purposes. The non-refundable cost is approx. $25.00 annually. Click the link at the bottom of the page to join if you are not already a member. You will need your child's membership number and expiration date at the time of registration.

Scroll down the page to find the link that will send you to the USFH membership website. Once you are on USFH page, select “U12 Membership” and follow the instructions. Please register in the athletes name – not the parents name.
In the “Club” drop-down you should select “Tiger Sharks Field Hockey”. If this athlete has already had this membership either current or expired, you should click the link to login to your account and simply “renew” the membership.

Youth League is open to all girls in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. They do not have to go to Northport schools. We take kids from all towns so they can learn the sport! We are just based in Northport.
The league provides uniform pinnies only. One for games (must be returned at the end of the season) and one for practice everyday (you get to keep).
Practice one night a week. Typically it is Monday nights between 5 - 7pm @ VETS Park in Northport. Date and time can vary each year dependent on field availability.
All parents are highly encouraged to participate! During the season, parents can help keep things organized and flowing smooth. Helping the coaches pick up and drop off on time, setting up the nets for games, bringing snacks. If you are interested in volunteering, please email tigersharksfieldhockey@gmail.com and/or reach out to your child's coach when the season starts.
Practice & home games are at Veterans Park on Bellerose Avenue in East Northport, on the turf field in the back. Away games are at a variety of Nassau and Suffolk locations. You will get a list of site locations when the season starts.
Registration for each grade level closes when all spots are full. Registration is first-come first-serve. To ensure a spot it is important that registration is completed quickly and completely. The number of teams we have depends on the volunteers we get for coaching the teams.
The last date to register a child is September 1st. Once we start practices, we will not accept any late registrations.
Yes! Any parent is encouraged to volunteer. We also look for high school volunteers to help teach the younger girls. HS volunteers can earn community service hours towards Honor Society.
